To be fair, he isn’t just any 19 year old that’s came through the academy. We’ve paid £28m for him so with that comes expectation.

Blame Brands for not bringing in a proper CF to take the pressure off Kean - I said at the time fans rightly will want to see our £28 million striker get chances on the pitch when we are struggling for goals and have had to put up with 3 years of watching garbage up top (Niasse, Sandro, DCL, Tosun).

I just don't get why some didn't expect this.

Some of the most gifted footballers of their eras have come over here and taken months if not years to settle in - some haven't at all. Forlan, Veron, Shevchenko, Arshavin, Morata, Stracqualursi, Falcao, Soldado etc. etc. etc.

I mean even Cristiano Ronaldo - one of the best who has ever lived - at the same age was still bedding in and only impressing in flashes at Manchester United.

Yet even with all that knowledge, some of you expected a 19 year old kid who doesn't know the language who has yet to have a full season of first team football anywhere to come in and bang in 20 goals.

Clueless. I'd honestly love to see this thread locked and ban people from talking about him until next season.
