Gold... I’m crying at that

Feel for this player, young talent, criminal how unused he has been

We've got a manager on the verge of losing his job, if he thought Kean was the answer he'd be straight in the team. Clearly not looking sharp in training. Hardly surprising a kid is struggling to adapt but from very worrying from our point of view because we placed so much faith in him.

....it’s really up to him to force his way into the team. There isn’t much competition and yet he seems to be behind DCL in the pecking order. It’s not criminal he’s not getting game time, he needs to be outstanding in training sessions and grab opportunities when they arise.

Totally agree. I was told last week there was ‘something sinister’ to imply that a possible reason for the lack of game time might be, the lad may not be doing the business in training. At least it’s not just me thinking that.

Any striker, not even just the best ones, would be banging the managers door down, demanding opportunities given the form we’re in and the chances we’ve been missing, and he’s still only getting the odd cameo here and there.

He’s well down the pecking order and that’s a worry.

Young kid away from home for the first time. It happens. Probably more often than not. People think because he's touted as a hot prospect that he'll go onto be world class but it doesn't work like that. World football is filled with kids who didn't fulfil their promise.

Obviously we just need to give him time. The absolute worst thing we could do is throw him into this team if he's not ready. It'd be awful for him and for us.

I respect the point, but I’d have to disagree.

We’re talking about a professional Footballer here that has been travelling the world with club and country, away from home for periods at a time, for years now. He’s not homesick, and if he is, that’s not the reason he hasn’t been playing.

I think the absolute best thing to do is give him opportunities to succeed / fail. Right now he’s not even getting the chance and people are rightfully asking why.

If he was playing and playing badly, that would be better than not playing at all because he’d be learning. And also, fans would be more understanding than you’d think if he was showing promise but bits weren’t coming off for him.

Give him time, absolutely, but he’s had 4 months to bed in, understand the system, the culture and his teammates. He’s got to be thrown in at some point, midweek is as good an opportunity as any.

No chance DCL won't be starting on Tues.

I reckon if he doesn't start showing something in Jan he'll be farmed out on loan back to Italy. He's not been very good in the chances he has had except that little cameo against Lincoln.
He has a few assists. He's done really well imo and has been able to show quality without us creating almost anything for him

This is my concern too.

Even in the Lincoln game, apart from the shot that hit the outside of the post, he was anonymous.

He has one assist.

And, with respect, if you pass the ball to someone outside the box, who then sticks it in the top bin.... it’s not really all that impressive an assist. It’s not even an assist as far as I’m concerned. Had it been a KDB esque defence splitting pass or cross, fair enough, give him his due.

When was this? Unless you're thinking of richarlisons assist to gylfi against West Ham?
