Kean played whole game for Italy,scoring the 2 goals,dont even think he had chance 2nd half,no one seemed to want to help him get his hattrick.

See this is the mad thing, everyone appeals for calm - “He’s only been here 4 months!”, “He needs to learn the language”, “All boss players are late sometime!”

......but he scores two goals against Armenia’s under 21’s and there’s an overwhelming clamour to start him (often from the people urging more balance).

This is something for the young lad to build on. He clearly wasn’t earning his place in the side before, for whatever reason that Marco and the club saw fit to fine him for, he needs to put that right first and then do his talking on the pitch.

I actually agree I just think people go too far the other way because he isn't banging them in from the off too. Talk that he's the next Sandro and should be sold etc... I am not going over board on his international goals, but he's a good young player he just needs time and to get minutes from the bench to adapt.

I understand that and agree 100% he needs time and he shall have it but it’s important to remember that we have standards too, this isn’t a creche and if he wants to play for an ambitious club in the best, most competitive league in the world, he needs to step up.

I have concerns about Kean and have for some time, but they aren’t because of his output. And that’s where people on the other side of the argument tend to conflate those concerns with the actual G/A return - which isn’t really an issue

It does ultimately come back to the Top Bloo argument. You can support the lad, want him to do well and still acknowledge that you expected more than what we’ve got and that he needs to do better. This is not the norm for a £30m international striker or a highly rated 19 year old in a new league.

His attitude and performances thus far haven’t covered him in glory so I believe it’s fair to say he needs to do better and not waste this opportunity.

He is a young lad, we bought him for a reason, we need to give him time to adjust and some game time. Bring him off the bench on Saturday for the last 30 minutes.

He needs to get minutes as a center forward though. Putting him on the wing where he looks completely lost is no better than dropping him into central defense. Playing in a position that suits you is important.
