Well he was dropped from the squad because of ill discipline and hasnt scored a goal yet where as DCL has scored 5. Im not saying that he should start over him because Kean will become the better player IMO but right now DCL deserves to probably be starting ahead of him
That way of thinking though would put us back years. Imagine if we got a young swedish striker in but didn't play him because he was too arrogant?

Maybe that's the issue here, Everton doesn't champion arrogance, confidence or individuality. You say poor discipline but the lad is 19, just been signed for 25 million and made to watch from the bench. Of course he has bad discipline. The lad is thinking he is pissing his career away here.

However the Everton way of everyone falling in line, all part of the same page etc. That's the team that hasn't won anything for 24 years. That's the way of thinking of a proper English club. Whereas the likes of Chelsea, united , even Liverpool back the players with arrogance, who don't quite fit into the mould .

There’s a reason Silva is playing a £1m player from the Championship rather than a £25m from Serie A, and it’s not to wind up some Evertonians on a forum. Silva’s fighting for his job so if Kean was ready he would be playing, he mustn’t be showing enough.
And that is the issue in a nutshell.

Managers fighting for their jobs so they don't play the great youngsters waiting for a chance.

How many young players are going to be let go because of managers fighting for their job here? Are we going to sit back one day, see all these names in the champions league , at the top level and wonder still why we aren't there?

That's the difference , if we aren't signing top class players then we need to develop them. Except we aren't , we are seeing them all leave as quick as they get here. All to save a managers job that , to be frank, if we are in that scenario either way you should be asking questions

You say he thinks he's wasting his career here with nothing to support that line of thought so here's one..

He thinks he's at the best club in der werld, loves scousers and hates his da.

At least when I chat a bit of wham it's half truthful

In all seriousness we know what Kean could be but he hasn’t exactly shown it yet has he? Add to the ill discipline and whatever he’s like in training might be the reason he’s not playing?!

Or maybe one is a proven premier league goal scorer who has grown into a very capable player in an awful side?

I genuinely don't care if tehy are the best player in every aspect in training if they play like Morgan Schneiderlein in a match. I KNOW Kean is a better player than DCL. It's not even the same conversation.

Some on here seem to think he is a seasoned pro at the peak of his career with many years of English football behind him, and has been given countless opportunities this season. And that he is personally responsible for telling how much Everton to pay for him.

He is a 19 year old kid with great potential, in a foreign country, with a foreign language, a foreign lifestyle, a foreign style of football with a team that is struggling for points and struggling to create opportunities and lacking in confidence.

It really shouldn't be this hard to understand
