I would say of all the players who deserve our criticism our 19 year old striker who has started about 2 games and had very limited opportunities in a completely new league is somewhere at the bottom of a very long list

Down the list, sure.

But not immune to criticism though, right?

This, all day long. Also throw in a new country, new language, playing for a club that organizationally appears to be a complete shambles.

So funny. DCL misses a chance against villa and gets absolutely slaughtered. Kean misses one and its “great run though” funny our fans

Staggers me how some folks can write a player off after such a small amount of game time. I thought he did well when coming on against Leicester and the RS

I think the overwhelming sentiment is it hasn´t worked out for now but we are all hoping it will. The problem is, for our season to have been any sort of success he needed to be brilliant. This is no fault of his own and everything to do with the ineptitude of our transfer activity this summer.

LOL. DCL's miss was 6 yards out and he hit it against the only defender in front of him when he had the whole goal.

Kean on the other hand checked his run, took it in his stride and under pressure tried to slot it into the bottom corner from just outside the box.

I didn't see anything in either game that convinced me he is the answer to our lack of a goal scorer.

Comparing how bad the misses were.....I think I’ve proven my point

Valid criticism for what, exactly? Being asked to provide immediately in a foreign country at 19, his first time away from home and learning an entirely new language, and still needing to adapt to one of the most physical and parity-laden leagues in the world?

In a team that's provided next to no reliable service for it's attackers.

DCL wouldn’t have got a clean shot away he’d still be trying to catch the ball up or it would have been under his feet.

Watching Newcastle here win 2nil at Bramall lane, their record buy Joelinton (£40m) last scored for them in August but yet theyve stuck with him (14th appearance tonight). Theyre sitting 11th. We bring a young lad in and give him 10mins here and there, leave him on the bench when we are needing a goal for three games, start him on right wing and haul him off at HT. Neither DCL or Tosun are the future and yet MS didnt give Kean a proper chance.
Pray that whoever takes charge lets him start next half dozen and try and build his confidence.
