2019/20 Moise Kean

Marco Silva says Moise Kean cannot suddenly be expected to become a starter for Everton after spending most of last season on the bench at Juventus.
The 19-year-old summer signing has made two appearances as a substitute so far and Silva is not minded to change his approach with the £25m recruit.
Kean was in Juve's squad for Serie A games 32 times last season but only started five matches and got just eight games from the bench.

Silva says the teenager needs to be given a gradual introduction to life in the Premier League and to be given more feedback than other players as he continues to learn the craft of being a frontman.
“The Premier League is Premier League even if they have quality when they come here,” Silva said.
“J-P (Gbamin) is 23-year-old and he had to adapt fast to the pace, the intensity, he has to think faster in the Premier League to perform better every single match.

“About Moise Kean, it is completely different. You are talking about a really young player and we have to give, everytime, feedback to him, information to him because he has to learn as fast as he can but you are talking about a young football player.

“Look at last season, he only played five matches from the start and so normally his game is to come in and not start football matches so we have to give time to him to learn as fast as he can because he can help the team in specific moments of the game but it is up to us to work with him.”

Ugh, that means a few more months of Dom up front. Damn it Marco.

Don't mind the slowly slowly approach for Kean but I would challenge that Marcos rationale is equally applicable to DCL... what sort of information and feedback is DCL getting? If DCL is going to establish himself as a PL striker he has to have a goal threat. And yet we see him selected game after game without any obvious slowly slowly approach.

he clearly has fitness issues atm, playing as a striker in this league is more physically demanding. He isn't going to start games till after the international break. Fabinho didn't really start getting regular games till like December for the RS, we will start seeing iwobi next week though

by the way he is 19 years old

so you'd rather see oumar flippin niasse fall all over the pitch instead mate?

I just want to see the young man get a full second half... he impressed me so much with his last 10 minutes (yes I know Watford was pressed forward). He created chances, dribbled past a couple. That shot he had from right out side the box had me excited. Just a little finesse on it and what a welcome for Goodison and the PL

I understand what you're saying but him getting 30 minutes and Dom getting 60 until he is up to speed isn't a solution if DCL isn't going to be a threat. At some point you have to see if he can be stretched out to an hour or so because we need a threat up top. Fabinho didn't get games because they have 7 other carthorses to run around in midfield. We don't have other options up top.

He’s come off both games of the season for Kean. Is that now slowly slowly?
