Started one game, and played very well. Time for him to start a few games unconditionally.

I said this about DCL before, but imagine playing in this team, with this midfield. No forward pass, no good crosses, you would be second guessing yourself the whole time about where to run.

He then gets slammed because he has to work so hard defensively to protect the soft underbelly of the midfield.

I will not judge him until the end of next year when he has 'hopefully' had a midfield that can actually service a forward. He may well be a debacle, but let's at least give him a chance.

We have wasted 30m this kid and 30 on Iwobi when we don't even have a central midfield worthy of the name. It's just baffling.

We all felt we needed those positions sorting at the time. Hindsight bias is great isn’t it?
