2020/21 Moise Kean

Is odd - we must be gambling on him bagging a few over the season and someone taking him off our hands next summer.

PSG's thinking will be they can rest their proper strikers against the Ligue 1 pub teams and Kean will score goals against them like he did for Juventus in similar circumstances.

We'll see, but even if he does, you'd have to be a really thick scout to equate that to being worth taking a punt on him for a club that isn't the glorified Celtic of their league.

At the end of this season his book value will have halved so even if we sell him for the price we paid we’ll have made an FFP profit whilst not paying any wages for the half the time he’s been with us. That’s why Brands is director of football.

It's a really strange deal this

Spunked a load of money on him last year - seemingly highly rated, at a perfect age, international caps, big club on CV

Yep, you can go out on loan with no obligation to buy

I wonder if he's such a negative influence around the place that we've grudgingly accepted any deal that gets him out of the door

Meanwhile, we'll have Ellis Simms as primary option off the bench

Indeed, I'd just question why any 26 year old forward with his rep would want to put himself in the position Kean seemed to hate being in. Don't get me wrong, I'd love it if he signed for us but it would spark more questions than answers.
Maybe Kean looks unhappy because he hasn't hit the hights he expected of himself and his confidence has taken a knock whereas Milik backs himself to break into the team.

...surely that would make more sense if there was an obligation to buy.

If there's no loan fee, I assume we can recall him if necessary.

I desperately want him to come good for us but he often looks clueless when he comes on.

It's a good move all round if he gets games. High profile club that will have a lot of the ball in most games and create chances. Maybe even some Champions League football for him.

it could be that if he scores lots for PSG his market value may increase. It’s unlikely to go down, perhaps we’ve insisted there is no obligation so if he hits a load of goals we can sell him for a huge amount. Or maybe we actually want to keep him and just want to get him game time.

Only just seen this, bit of a weird one like. Most likely a case of him and Raiola throwing their toys out the pram because he hasn’t managed to make himself a first team regular here?

thats true, though if we sign Milik with a big fanfare about how we are going to play and develop him and then shove him on the bench then I'd imagine we will be learning whatever the Polish words are for sulk and lazy get
