Why sell holgate went out on loan same thing hes our player experience will benefit us that's why we payed the money, that's what big clubs do we are a big club going places when the penny drops we bring them back end of.

He's scoring goals in a plumbers league.

The second he comes back to England and actually has to graft he'll be strolling around looking moody again.

Only positive is if there isn't a sell clause then hopefully we tap PSG or someone else over and bring in the sort of money that can give us some wiggle room FFP speaking to bring in 3-4 good players next summer.
 
Hes only 20, what price would you put on Calvert lewin now ? So easy this could happen again let's not be too hasty we hold the cards for a change

Ye if he was 27 but he's only 20 ye 20 .give him a couple of years at least, bloody ell I and everyone else wrote holgate off ,let's have some patience .he might come good let's take a chance imo

My point is that he wont be given a chance here to come good.

Not unless we sell DCL.

Its not about having patience, its about Moise Kean kicking up a fuss to leave in May next year and us thinking "Well if we fight to keep you, we still wont play you"

Hence why we should just take the money.

Unless the lad is willing to sit on the bench for another 12months and fight for his place, which I doubt.

Hate to say it but you are probably right. Sometimes it doesn't fit and returning to a place of unhappiness if it doesn't click straightaway it just becomes a vicious circle.

I would sell if the price is good. I would also love to be proven wrong and he comes back firing and wins us some stuff but as it stands we can't even accommodate him in the team.
 

If he took his chance you never know, big clubs sort problems like that ,do you think he's had a fair crack baring in mind he's only a kid really. Strength and depth is needed in any club with ambition 2 young forwards fighting for a place with us could be amazing surely, people at the club should keep them both sweet imo imagine the two of them on fire. This is what wins you trophies

Hes played for Juve, PSG and the senior national team.

If you think he wants to sit on the bench and fight for his place you haven't been paying attention.

Certainly not at a team that historically just makes up the numbers.

What we want, sadly doesn't tie into what he wants.

We would all love that, but you can see from his attitude during the games he played he pushed for the move away and we eventually agreed. He came from Juve expecting to start and that hasn't happened. He isn't good enough at this moment to in this league so what do you do?

At the end of this season he will have 2 years gone from his contract already and will be at his most valuable to us, unless he signs a contract extension and there are no guarantees he will.

How do you know that he's only a kid,guidance might be needed because he's not had that up to know ,hes only a young lad give him a chance
