2020/21 Moise Kean

Yeah, I know what you mean but I’d rather us get players in that play for us than lads that are loaned out or sold without producing anything for Everton. Especially while we are short in that position anyway.

I’m not so sure Kean gets the 10mil profit everyone is predicting, either.
Well either we paid too much for him, or ten mill profit is peanuts for a young striker who I presume will be in demand.

He has started 21 Ligue 1 games this season and played in 8 of ten CL games. He was left out for unknown reasons (presume tactically) tonight and so he is deemed not good enough?!
I dunno, seems a massive jump to a very tenuous conclusion imo
As I said, using one moment in one game might be a bit of a stretch but the basic premise makes sense. He's only started 4 of those 10 CL games, and only 1 out of 5 in the knockout stages. It's not a case of saying he's not good enough, it's a case of saying they may well not be willing to pay the sort of fees people are talking about for someone to score goals in the league and just be a sub when it comes to the crunch. Obviously I have no idea how much they'd be willing to pay for him, none of us do, but it makes sense to me that they may not break the bank to sign someone to do the job he's been doing.

This is the crux of it. As I said earlier, did we pay too much? He has not had a bad season by any means, and so he either is worth big bucks or we did pay too much.

Yeh, typically, the arse has fallen out of football money.

I think that’s the main issue, maybe a couple of seasons ago we could have demanded closer to 50-60mil.

The issue is that the only teams that would buy him will probably be abroad, as he didn’t do much in the Premier League. Those clubs abroad have less money than English clubs, so I think we will get our money back and not much extra.

If he is that happy over there we should make a fortune out of him. We have his club over a barrel?
Not really! Everybody knows we could be desperate to sell to finance BEFORE the window closes. Could be a transfer right up till the final minute.

...hope the lad features and increases his value but I really want City to win this competition.
I'm a bit 'meh' about City winning it. I'd rather Chelsea win it because they've already won it. Sick of other English sides winning it when we haven't, I don't really like City either. A Keane hat-trick and an extra 20 million on his selling price will do me just fine. Whatever benefits us the most is what I want.
