The first few times he came on early season he looked a real live wire but then the team started playing this horrible slow passing game so on the rare occasion that he got on the pitch, he didn’t really have the chance to shine. I think it’s telling that the only game he looked good in was against Newcastle because he got given a rare start and they were happy for us to attack them for 90 minutes.
People saying he’s our best striker are a bit over the top but he could definitely become a first team player and not just for 10th place Everton but for the Everton we all want to see, he’s pacey, skilful and exciting, he could be very good.

exactly and that is why i think we should still sell: can't lead the line on his own and lacks the direct running / trickery of Richarlison to play wide. I prefer we bring a different type of player in who can also play on the wing. And bring an experienced head like Rondon purely as back up for DCL

If we sign Dumfries I'll be shocked if we dont go 352 / 343 which we could utilise him.
If its 4231 I would rather sell as he just hasn't the maturity/physicality to play that one up top role in England imo.
