I really want him to stay, I think we would rue the decision to sell. I know so far he's been hit and miss, he's 21 and I fully believe he can live up to his potential. We just need to be braver and let these kids play especially when the established are stinking the place out.

I believe he has a higher ceiling than DCL and I backed him all the way when others didn't. Sometimes you have to take risks.

…he could also cost us a lot of money. If he’s as totally ineffective as he was in his first spell, he’ll be a very costly failure who we’ll struggle to shift & we’ll also need to bring somebody else in.

I think it’s important we try and recoup our monies this window.

True but we are still going to need a goal scorer, unless we get one this window or sell him for a good fee (no loan) I really want to see him come good, im sure there is a player there somewere

He's only 21, PSG and Juve want him, regardless of price, they still want him, what makes you think we couldn't shift the lad?

…I’d love to see him come good too, but it’s a bit like saying we’d love to see Stuart Barlow come good. There’s very little chance of it based on what we saw, indeed it could be argued Stuart Barlow was more effective.
 
This lad had more to offer than seen as yet I'm sure.
The elephant in the room is Dunc tho.
That decision at Old Trafford could end up costing us. To be fair to DF tho the only future he was assed about was that 90 mins.

….I’d imagine he wouldn’t be here if PSG or Juventus offered us our money back. I’ve not seen that we’ve turned anything down, other than another loan.

we went through this argument with him for a season - people desperate for him to come good, until we realised he wasnt capable of producing and shipped him out.

not sure anything has changed with him really - you dont want be having the same debates 12 months down the line.

And actually if he does produce for whatever reason we would probably be forced to sell him on the cheap to PSG anyway, because of his contract sitution.

Im thinking they are expecting to pick him up on the cheap if he does well for us anyway, due to his contract in 12 months time.

It's lose/lose for us in a way.

He was useless for us, it takes a leap of faith to think he’ll be any better this time around.

No, you were making out we would be stuck with him, a 21 year old Italian international. I struggle to see how you came to that conclusion.
