Agreed. If the tables were turned, such that we had the money and the deep CL runs, would we behave differently?

He's 21 years old, ffs. In the job you had aged 21 did your boss tell you he loved you and that you were super awesome all day long? Did they arrange special social events just for you and pay someone to cater to your every whim? He's not a 13 year on the French exchange, he needs to get a grip.

Add that to the reasons football is broken.

Offer a man a job. Encourage him to work by offering him an actual wage. Provide him elite training. The rest is up to him ffs.

Work hard, get rewarded. Get knocked down the pecking order? Work harder.

Newcastle was one and there was another for Carlo but I can’t remember which game. For Dunc it was the game after he was infamously subbed on and benched for presumably coming on hungover, but the next game he started I think and absolutely crushed it- so Dunc’s tough love probably got through to him. I think that is when Carlo came in and he was benched again

Think maybe you dreamed that. After the Man Utd game where he was subbed off, he was on the bench for Duncan’s last two games. Coming on as sub to little effect in both.
