….I think its worth analysing how he played and I agree he didn’t do too badly, which should interest @Zatara.

i’m a critic of his but there were signs of decent play outwith his very good disallowed goal. His back to goal stuff was a mixed bag but on occasion he got his body in-between ball and player and showed good technique in laying it off. Similarly, his possession was a mixed bag with some slack passes but some good link play.

I think it was 6/10 performance but the sending off was a sign of him being a proper numpty & I’d give him an overall 2/10 following that. Promise but a very concerning attitude to react like he did to a nothing clash.

Hardly a Suarez or Duncan Ferguson level blow up.

He got booted and reacted...he'll hopefully learn from it.

Still only 21.

We're all going round in circles and opinions are split. So let's all agree with your opinion.

How about this. Let's not. ;)
I’m not asking you to agree. You can carry on believing he will come good and actually wants to play for the club if you want, that doesn’t bother me.

He's done ok last night - well, considering its about the level of team he was slotting against with Mbappe and Neymar next to him, so he should have.

Zero evidence of being capable at Premier League Level.

The throttling of the opponent was far more concerning - what if he did that in a league match where going down to 10 would put a fork in us as opposed to overcoming weak oppostion like last night?

All in all, my impression of him, poor before the match, as gone doen even further based on all the above.

What feels a bit Everton is that if that goal hadn’t been disallowed it was a good finish from a neat move and could have been just what he needed to build on , let’s face it we’ve seen nothing so far , instead we then have an unnecessary red and putting his teammates under pressure . Ah well , such is life .
