This idea Serie A is a weak league is an odd one. Still hard to score goals there. He got 7 in 16 for the run away champions.
The French league fair enough.
I'm pretty sure it's been the most open of the major leagues in recent times, after decades of low scoring.

It's better to watch now, but the standard is quite poor.

Nobody has any money to pay what he's worth
Think part of the problem with valuing him is he is largely still in the (high) potential category, but there are big question marks over him.
suspect we want a decent profit - in the sale region of £40+ mill based on what we paid with 1 year left on his Juve contract, but can’t anyone paying that for him unless Inter stump up some of the lukaku money.

If he has another good year we'll have no trouble selling next summer when teams have money again

Indeed and will still have 2 years left on his contract iirc.
I’m bit puzzled why the club seem so averse to loaning him again if there’s a fee and his wages are covered.
Must be something to do wanting the sale figures in this seasons accounts so they can spend more.

If we don't buy another striker we'll need him as cover too. Hard to buy one without a sale.

Kean had to get out of Juve because of the racist abuse he was getting from the home fans and there was also the issues on international duty. It honestly would not surprise me in the slightest if Raiola pushed him on to Brands (Raiola is Brands agent also) and said take him as a favour based on some sort of future deal or something else.
It's weird to me that a DoF has an agent

If we loan him out again we lose any power.
He will have a shorter contract and everyone knows he doesn’t want to be here and we don’t want him, so we pretty much have to sell.
He will also probably only consider a handful of clubs.

I don’t think we’ll get more than £25/30m with addons possibly on too.

To put it into context, the Premier League wax responsible for 43% of transfers in summer 2020 with global transfer spending down by 39% on the year before.

January transfer spending was down by 53%.

European football has lost 7.2bn Euro so far due to Covid.

In 2020/2021 PL clubs spent 1.8bn euro, the next biggest was Serie A at 600m euro, followed by the Championship at 400m.
