Moise Kean

I just can't see a club like Juve putting this clause in as I'd have thought that they were always confident of doing so. Just seems strange to me.

Well apparently they have put that clause in, it was an obligation to buy “if conditions are met”. It was my concern with the deal from day 1, as Juve have been steadily declining for years and are by no means guaranteed top 4, they’re essentially the Man Utd of Serie A.

Gbamin £25 millions
Slomes: £22 millions
Kean: £27 millions
Godfrey: £25 millions
Mr Glass: £8 millions
Mina: £27.5 millions

Bloke was an absolute disaster here.
Complete chancer.

It’s all good in Holland when you’re surrounded by excellent scouts. When the onus was on him and he had a few quid, the main failed miserably.

Must feel like a right tit for outing Mosh re Iwobi now ?

People that say this don't understand football. He was risk but we've not lost money on him and we gave it a chance. That's what you have to do in life. He was hot property.

Unlike say some of our other risks on young players which defied logic this one made sense.

This is what I don't get, at the time, if another club signed Kean, the same people would have been slagging off the club for not buying the young player with a bag of potential.

Sometimes it doesn't work out but it does not necessarily mean they 'ballsed up'.

It is like somebody who is excellent at interviewing and assessments but when it comes to the actual day to day job they are awful.. HR didn't balls up, they made an informed decision based on the facts that were put to them, in hindsight it was a mistake but these things happen.

Tough to truly tell where Kean falls (True mistake or a risk worth taking that did not work out as planned) as we do not see all the facts but I would be inclined to believe, that in this case, we saw a young talent who was doing well in a top league and went for it before anybody else did.

Which bit is a myth? That he looked half decent before he had Covid or that he's been gash since he recovered from it?

That Covid finished him as a player. I think most Premier League players have had Covid at this point, it’s been proven that it doesn’t cause your footballing ability and spatial awareness to disappear.

I'm sure most of them have. He had it fairly early on when it was quite a different beast, and there seems to be little rhyme or reason to how it affects different people. He was quite ill with it as I remember, although fine if I'm wrong about that.

I'm not even sure that Covid did finish him. Just seemed that way.

Anyone know the details with this transfer to Juve? Have they got the option to not waste their money if they fail to qualify for champions League? Looks like they might not qualify.
