..I imagine Gomes is the natural competition, just a pity he’s not fit. Looks a player who could actually improve us does Gomes.
All about opinions mate, after he went off in the 24th minute I thought we still bossed the game. When we came out second half we weren't too great, but I think that was the norm for us, boss a game, take the lead, come out second half thinking the game was won.

Would be good if we could land that Italian too. We definitely need better ball retention in our midfield.
Not disputing we played some nice attacking football through the whole game. That didn’t really change. It was the ball retention that suffered.

He`s not.
He tore his ACL in 2016, when he was 30, so he has recovered.
Normally ruins a player at that age, as they lose any pace that they once had.

He wasn`t a pacy player, so it would be an even bigger gamble, what with the pace of the Premier League.

Agree pace matters in most positions, but there have been some great players who didn’t have it.
We’re still way to keystone cops. We need a player who can spray (accurate) passes & dictate play.
