Creating problems by playing well, because if we keep him what's stopping him from playing crap again next season?

Still sell imo

He was terrible today. Almost all their chances started with him losing the ball or a half arsed challenge

I can't get my head around people saying he played well. Result clearly means that everyone had a good game...

Honestly, I can't remember anything he actually did well. He was absolutely terrified to get on the ball, that might not necessarily be his fault because he just isn't good enough but it's a huge problem when that's your ball playing centre mid.

Thought he was poor in the first half - struggled to retain the ball with any consistency. Improved in the second... and between that and the Cardiff game I think, overall, he's done alright to be totally fair to him.

Still prefer Gomes like.

I think he’s been average all round which by his standards is a huge step up. As others have said I think Gomes getting a breather and some competition is the real benefit.

At least we’re not just chucking his salary down the toilet like before! :)

I thought he was fairly invisible minus a few nice flicks in the MF and that horrid giveaway which should have gifted Salah a goal.

5 or 6 for me

Not terrible, but not exactly good either

Totally understand those not willing to give him a chance after the disgusting attitude previously, but he’s had a couple of good games just now. First half we were under the cosh and he got stuck in. Second half he was able to play more. Put in a decent shift and if nothing else he may be attracting potential suitors

The problem is that Gomes contributes very little defensively. He’s definitely not competing with Schneiderlin.

Has shown in the last few games that he has a level that for some reason he has been unwilling to go to for about 2 years. What’s more annoying is that his level of performance in the last few games isn’t even near the level he was when he first arrived under Koeman yet looks a league of difference to what he was putting in last season. I’d say he’s playing just to avoid being sold but if he is serious about getting back to his best level he can still be a decent player.

This ship has long sailed..

Currently sat at the bottom of the Atlantic collecting barnacles

I think he's been solid the last few games given us a platform and more protection with his height and discipline. It shows we need a genuine DM this summer.

I´m not having that. Those three players you mentioned were running the show in there. We could barely control the ball in the first half, Schneiderlin gave us absolutely nothing. We will not move forward with him in the midfield.

If I am not mistaken it was because he gave the ball away cheaply, whilst attemptung to pass the ball backwards, which lead to the Salah chance in t’ first half.
