Or you could argue that both players were successful at lesser clubs but both flopped at United. Schneiderlin had one decent season under Poch. He then tried forcing a transfer through and hasn't exactly set the world on fire while he's been at united. I would welcome both signings, but I'd be more sceptical about Schneiderlin- that's all. I've seen highlights of Depay whilst in holland and there's no doubting who'd be the better buy if he can recapture that sort of form for us.
All about opinions. I could well be wrong and hope Schneiderlin becomes a cult hero and stays for at least 5 years.

Schneiderlin is an average premier league player ... errrrm ok mate, he was actually regarded as one of the best midfielders in the league for at least two years prior to his move to United.
Having seen Witsel a lot btw, Schneiderlin is the superior player and by a decent way as well.

In regards to the actual transfer I'd be over the moon. Consistently one of the best in the league at Saints and just doesn't have the right environment at United. If we can get his Southampton self that'd be great.

Those gems he found did not slot in immediately but gradually. Do you really have the patience for that or do you want ready to play players? Its got to be a bit of both.

You don't know this. Walsh could already have a few lined up but we will have to wait until January or the summer. Koeman and Walsh will be working together. If Walsh is only here to bring in hidden gems then we will have to wait a while for them to show what they can do so in the meantime Walsh will be a target for haters until they become first team players (adapting). Best just to let him do his job and stop 2nd guessing if its a Koeman signing or Walsh signing.
We then have to wait to see if we do sign anyone in January or enough and if we don't then is Walsh at fault, is Moshiri a fraud, is Koeman a fat face no mark. I am sure we will find out soon enough from the regular conspiritors.
