Most embarrassing night as an Everton fan?

I think anfield last year takes some beating. The most cowardly display in a blue shirt ever.

I'd disagree simply on the point of we were all expecting it. So much unified acceptance we would be turned over that night.

For me what was worse was the semi the other year. It wasn't the fact we got beat, it was embarrassing that we outplayed them in the first half then literally just waited for them to best us. We gave them their equaliser pretty much and just waited to lose. The pinnacle of how low this clubs stock had fallen, we just didn't believe we could best them over 45 minutes.

7-0 defeat to Arsenal away
6-1 defeat to Arsenal home
3-0 defeat to Tranmere home

No other scores come near them. Humiliating results that should have seen the sacking of Moyes/Smith on the spot.

This absolutely. I genuinely wasn't even arsed about the Derby last season, I knew we'd get hammered, I didn't even watch the game and haven't seen a second of highlights since apart from Mori's sending off. I felt nothing.

That semi final however, I was unfortunate enough to be there. They had Brad Jones in goal, Jay Spearing in midfield and Big Andy the donkey who's scored about 7 goals in his career spearheading them. We somehow managed to not create a chance in the entirety of the second half. Having to travel home on the train surrounded by absolute shitehawks was the most embarrassing experience I've had.

Anfeild last year for me Dave when the spanish brown shoe wearing buffoon stood there like a statue ..... I wish a pigeon had shat on him !

I wasn't at the Anfield shambles last season so sticking purely to games I have been at, the Glenn Keeley derby left me embarrassed and fuming in equal measure :(

In fairness, it is kind of funny to imagine Moyes being sacked on the spot after just finishing 4th with a team that included Kevin Kilbane. Imagine the reaction

Not even in the same class mate. We were down to 10 men for half the game, and had a cup SF to prepare for.

No, those capitulations against Arsenal and Tranmere should have resulted in both Moyes and Smith being chased down Goodison Road and beaten with sticks.
