Most embarrassing night as an Everton fan?

Obvious liverpool ones already quoted above.can tolerate being outplayed but feel embarrassed when we dont show up. Those big losses to arsenal stick out but for some reason remember getting smashed by cov city 4 or 5-1 away in the cup during the cadamarteri days. Didn't turn up and got humiliated by a much inferior team.was Walter in charge?

That was during Kendall's last run, 97/98

Today was bad but wait until Sunderland and Norwich both stay up by beatting Everton in front of the eyes of the nation again, sure do nkow how to make fools of ourselves.

Bolton away a few years ago. We got beat 2-0, most gutless performance I've ever seen.

Didn't want to be associated with them after that.

Only 1 can stay up. If Sunderland beat us Weds Norwich are down anyway.

Was that the day Sturdidge scored twice? I was at that game it was a live Sunday game we were woeful.

Benfica and Kyiv in europe most definitely stand out above the rest

The 4-0 v liverpool a couple of seasons ago, this seasons was just gutless but some what expected. The 1st time round genuinely hurt though and had me about as angrily upset as ive been watching an everton match.

The 6-0/1 against Arsenal during the Lescott saga, was on holiday watching it in a pub with a load of foreigners and cockneys.

Those ones stick out the most in my memory any others i've either added a mental block from the pain or simply can't remember :D

I think next Thursday's joke of an awards night will be right up there for me!
It should be cancelled or awards handed out instead to the modern day mother Theresa's in our support m who gave there tickets to Leicester fans.

Benfica was harsh. We had Hibbert at centre half and Coleman making his debut at left back. Injuries were shocking that night.

Mate let this Roberto reign come to an end and gather myself and my thoughts and I'll get back to you with an answer.

True about the injuries think we had 11 or 12 players missing but its still our heaviest european defeat and among the most painful to watch because of the lack of depth in the squad so for that case it has to go down in the most embarrassing nights for the club and fans who paid to travel over.

West Brom 0-4 - and then West Ham 1-2 (h) Bolton 0-4 (h), Villa 0-4 (a), Liverpool 1-3 (h)- End 2005... just after Dinamo 1-5 (a)

and probably the league table 15th October 2005 after 6 successive league defeats (home to Portsmouth, Wigan etc) marooned on 3 points.

6-2 at Villa.. 0-5 at home to Liverpool, 1-6 to Arsenal (or was it 7 - thanks Joleon!), 0-7 at Highbury.. 0-3 at Boro in the FA Cup..
Wow. It seems that at the end of the day, Martinez is keeping up an Everton tradition.

Just not the one we wanted.

Yes.I remember that.

They were dark days playing in front of 13000s.

It's difficult to believe what was around the corner a couple of months later.

People talk about Kevin Brock's backpass as the catalyst but I remember a game that season that had we not won we would never have even got anywhere near Oxford.

It was the second or third round of the Milk Cup at Goodison midweek against Coventry in front of 8000 and zero atmosphere.

We were absolutely appalling! Coventry' scored and we were totally out of sorts.

Somehow against the run of play, out of nowhere Heath(?) got a very late equaliser.Sharp was injured and limping badly but had to stay on as we had used our sub.He only headed in a corner in injury time!! I remember going berserk in the Gladys Street!
Remember that well cos I never went . So fed up with the team at the time decided to make a stand and not go , and I used to go every week , think a lot of others had the same idea.
