Mourinho to Man Utd

They already are for me - I hate them with a passion that I'll admit defies logic, but I just can't help it.
If and when Jose is unveiled, nothing would give me greater pleasure than if he went off on one of his demented periods of management and crippled them.

Snap.

And Inthink we will get our wish, Block.

This is a marriage made in football hell ;)

Obviously disappointing to miss out on a manager that has a proven track record of winning things

Despite the reservations I had and still have, I would have been interested to see Mourinho at Everton, if only because it would have raised our profile significantly

I honestly think Mourinho would have enjoyed managing us much more than he will managing United, if only because we would have been far more welcoming as a fan base and we'd also have slightly more realistic expectations

This Man United job will be an uphill challenge from day one. Lot's of their fans don't want him and there's also people behind the scenes who aren't warm on him either

That being said, I'm sure he'll be a success there, and United getting title 21 should at least serve to annoy the Kopites (While also slowing Chelsea and Man City's inevitable march to overtaking our 9 league titles)

That's nonsense. Mourinho has been pining for the United job for years. He loves the attention that goes with managing the biggest clubs, and he's a well known admirer of Ferguson. He will want to try and replicate the long-term success and dominance to show he's every bit as good as Ferguson. I think taking United back to the top will be his biggest challenge and one that he will no doubt relish. There's absolutely no way he would enjoy managing Everton, or for that mater any other club in the premier league, as much as he will enjoy managing United. It's the dream job he's desperately wanted.

I guess we'll have to ask him in a year or two won't we?

I love the positivity of Everton fans

There are no positive Everton fans, we've had it knocked out of us over the last twenty years lol
Sad, but true

I predict he will be a failure remember when it went pear shape with Chelsea he lost the dressing room and lost the plot

I certainly think it'll end like that

He'll have two decent years before that all kicks off though I reckon

He'll win at least one League Title while he's there, and maybe a League Cup as well

I don't think he'll win the Champions League though. That one with Inter pushed him to the absolute limit and I don't think he's been the same since

I will laugh HARD if something goes tits up in the talks between Woodward and Mendes.

Like Woodward insists Giggs is to be involved and the Mourinho camp don't want it.

It won't though. Bad things only happen to Everton.

I think we can be positive without being unrealistic. I know it shows ambition to enquire about Mourinho being the manager, but in my opinion it's unrealistic. Whether we like it nor not we're not on the same level at United, we were never going to tempt Mourinho. It's okay to accept that without being negative. It's up to our club to make smart decisions and slowly work our way up to the top 4, and eventually challenge for the title. It's not going to happen overnight, we're not going to suddenly attract the best managers and players, it's all about baby steps
