"Alien" is near perfect, but when they first land on the planet, Captain Dallas says they'd better break out the weapons. I know there's a risk of blowing a hole in the ship, but they had spacesuits and compartments and stuff. Given a choice between a pain in the arse repair job, or even asphyxiation, and death by slavering alien monster I reckon I'd chance a couple of shots tbh.

Christopher Reeve actually acted this really well. But the buff chump who played Superman in that Sky series looked and acted exactly the same.
