Most men find certain types of women attractive, there's nothing 'Anglo' specific about that idea, it's human nature. If you have the same film, one version with a hot woman playing the lead and another with an unattractive women assuming all things are equal it would be logical for male audiences to enjoy the former more.

Why do directors cast Sean bean into any sort of role knowing full well it gives the twist of the film away because you know he is going to die at some point?
