Big Dunc played like Hibbo and Osman. He played with his big blue heart all the way. Difference is that when he was at his prime he was good enough to play for a top club in the league while Hibbo isn't. A Big Dunc at 24-25 would probably still be a good choice for a centretank in our current squad. I'm not saying he'd be a regular starter, but he'd play a lot of games.

In the end he got too many fk's against him, simply by being him I think. He was big, strong and defenders knew that refs had a special eye on him so they flew whenever he was close, to get a whistle and the ball without having to fight it out with him.

Banega looks like the real deal - I have never heard of him but that youtube video convinced me that we should go for him.

Panicked for a minute there, getting my Argentines mixed up - thought we were after Buonanotte.

The guy's a skinny 5'2" winger that I remember watching in last year's Olympics and thinking he was a mascot - Pienaar would tower over him...

Banega's a much better option!...

Where did this Banega guff come from??

Someones F'Ming it up again

Makes about as much sense as anything else this summer.

Valencia are still financially buggered and after not selling Silva or Villa, I guess they're in a position that we can take advantage of...

Although, wouldn't mind us having a sniff around their more creative / attacking guys - Juan Mata or Fernandes rather than a defensive minded player...

Just seems too random.

I know....what about.... Riquelme! Yeah we may be signing him according to such and such!

Vladimir Bystrov - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bystrov is due to join (ENG) Everton FC of the Premier League on the 17/08/2009.

Vladimir Bystrov (Russian: Владимир Витальeвич Быстров) born January 31, 1984 in Luga, Leningrad Oblast) is a Russian football right winger who currently plays for Spartak Moscow and Russia. Before that, he played for Zenit Saint Petersburg. He is renowned for his electrifying pace being one of the fastest players in Europe (interestingly, his last name translates to "fast" in English). Bystrov is the most fouled upon player in the Russian Premier League largely due to how hard he is to stop,

He sounds wonderful. Its great wiki.

Cant see him being cheap, unless his contract is up or something.

Reply wouldn't mind seeing him in a blue shirt. he can set up and score loads of goals but makes me think what will happen to arteta and piennar one of them will have to be dropped. i no arteta is out for a while but when he comes back ....

Love all this to be true...or atleast one of them.

Hell, the Mail says that Russian feller is one of the quickest wingers in the world. That'll stick a rocket up the midfields arse.
