Cal

Player Valuation: £40m
David Moyes has just been on SSN saying that he is looking at a calibre such as Yakubu/Fernandes/Lucho, he said he also has alot of money to spend and plans to spend it before the deadline :D

God I wish I had 24/7 Skysports news, I get the morning report and evening news. But [Poor language removed] incredible news! It seems its been like he has had the cash to spend the past week or so, but I'm glad that he is determined to use it to bring in quality.

Is this true?

Has he said "Lots of Money"?

Because I've been an Evertonian for centuries and the last time we had loads of money to spend, we got Cottee.

We have to conclude this Robert Earl is behind it in some way. Also I have wondered were some of our other money has been dried up nad never outlayed after transfers. Feels like for a long time we are seeing a silver lining. I just hope we are not mortgaging our future to gain personel now.

Remember, anything more than 4mil is a lot from Moyes perspective!!

BTW, good to see you back Ghost

Thanks, :)

I may interject that I started a thread about the Earl factor last week, and then all of a sudden we are awash with cash. I bet Moyes is getting a facelife, and his teeth done. He'll turn up at the game in a Bugati.

Only have to look at leeds, minus fifteen points in league one to realise that doing this is a big mistake!

Only if you mismanage. I mean they had a [Poor language removed] manager, who is not in the equation anymore. I don't think we are likely to fall into the same trap as Leeds.

Also they took loans to fund it, and when the financial backer backed out, they had to sell to pay back and went downhill from there.

Ghost,

For me, the whole Leeds debacle is one reason why I am happy with Moyes, Kenwright, & Wyness running the show. They certainly aren't perfect and have made a few mistakes but with them in charge, I think you're right to say that we won't fall into the same trap as Leeds.

I think they've been prudent on the money end and Moyes, for the most part, has really gotten it right in the transfer market.

I think the future is bright for Everton.

No they are not perfect, in that they don't say much when its all going wrong. PR is there problem. But their recruitment policy is spot on.

Well I would need to see this confirmed, its not on SS site. So not sure if Moyes did actually say that. Or whether or not Cal was winding us up. :)
