Moyes as interim manager

Mid table is exactly what it says, middle of the table which last time I looked was 10th, you could stretch it to put it in a bracket of 10th to 12th
You concede mid table as a range thus nullifying your precise mathematical median as a definition.

You choose 10th to 12th whereas most see top 4 and relegation as upper and lower limits of the division with interim noddies classed as mid table fodder. Admittedly there may be an upper and lower mid table descriptor but mid table it remains.

Moyes average over 11yrs is irrefutably mid table.

Everton are a scrap yard at the moment. A badly run one. Maybe he is what is needed. This is the first time since from about 3 years before he left when I find myself considering him as a possibility. I'd have him over Silva. Unless they have a decent coach/ manager lined up already, then I'd have Moyes in now. I feel dirty just reading what I wrote.
You should have wrote ashamed and dirty, He shot his bolt when he left, with a nearly full ground of Everton fans applauding him at the end of the game, very, very glad to say I was on my toes and away as soon as the final whistle had gone, glad to see the back of the bar steward.

Consider me suitably chastised.

**** off Moyes!

Don’t be silly now.

It would be the easy option for the board, which they feel comfortable with - like renewing average/poor sponsorship deals.

I think we all suspect that he'd never really be an interim manager. He'd do 'alright' and be given a multi-year deal.

Such an appointment would be damaging to the board. They want to portray themselves as pushing the top teams and this would reek of acceptance of mediocrity.

Moyes did a good job here in his early years, but part of the unbreakable glass ceiling to the top 4 he built himself with an inferiority complex.

I don't want to see him back at the club.

Here's the thing for me

If it's merely as interim to the end of the season, then I can live with it PROVIDED that we actually have a good manager all lined up to come in during the summer

My worry is the second part, because I'm not sure what type of manager we're going to attract and you just KNOW that if we do semi-good under Moyes then Bill will be trying to Jedi mind trick Moshiri in to keeping him (FTR, I like Bill but his taste in managers is questionable)

It's a potential really slippery slope but, if we get it right, then it could work out

That's a big if though, especially with our club
