21 pages and you still didn't get the point.

LERNER HAS NOT GIVEN THEM THE MONEY. HE'S LOANED THEM THE MONEY!

ITS DEBT!

A debt that's about £140 million now.

no, you dont get it, its money spent on the team , buying players. had they achieved anything it would have been a good investment. the fact that the manager of the time wasted it on dross is moot. the point im making is we have had ZERO investment on the team, yet still loans have been taken out.WHY????????????? get off the soap box and listen to others, or you come across as arrogant and stupid. we have taken loans and not spent on the team, the stadium, NOTHING. now which is worse?

No it's you who doesn't get it. Or just don't bother reading what is posted.

You're the one who cannot see the difference between GIVING someone money and LOANING someone money.

Not only that but now Lerner's having to back track and cut costs.

They've wasted £140million.

£140million of DEBT!

I love this thread,it feels like its one that's never going to end no matter what is said-some great reading in here, and moyes will stay as ive said and think, plus the bluefox said 100% said he will stay as well.

i know the difference , the point is he gave/loaned/invested, WHATEVER, to buy players to improve the team, it didnt work because the manager he chose was a tool. but the simple, unquestionable fact is this, aston villa spent money to buy players, EVERTON have took loans out for what???????? not players, not ground improvements. so which would you prefer, to take loans to do something positive, or to follow the everton formula?

The fact that thebluefox said he'd take 5 grand or whatever it was on Moyes not leaving for Villa is good enough for me.

He ain't going.

Unbelievable.

So.

Where are Villa going to find the £140million to pay back Lerner?

How they're supposedly going to give Moyes money if he ever went to Villa?

Villa's debt is 150% of their annual turnover btw. By the time their costs are brought under control it'll be close to 200%.

Where's this mythical pot of gold they're going to get to pay this back? At the end of a rainbow?

what? do you bother reading what other people write before you answer?
the point im making is both teams are in debt, villa moreso than us, but they have invested in the team. our debt has grown because?

dont believe your own hype, your not coming across as very bright here.

I'm not the one saying Lerner gave Villa the money.

They invested in their team and have now OWE £140million ??? To what? Come in the bottom half of the table?

And you're saying what? That's a good thing? You're certainly implying it.

The same team that released a player at the age of 27 who cost them since 2007 AT LEAST £18million and more likely £21million.

Yeah keep clutching at them straws that that was a good piece of business!

The JOKE is on you if you think Villa have the funds to go out and spend spend spend still.

you really are full of yourself.i never said it was good business, i never said it was the way i wanted everton to go.
what i said was, while your on your high horse critisising villa for getting in so much debt, and saying we should be glad is not as bad. at least they spent money on players, however badly.
while we carry on taking loans against sky money, future gate reciepts, for what?
not players
not ground improvements

this is my point. i couldnt care how much debt they are in, just ours. and the reasons for such debt.

i cannot see moyes leaving , but i think a london club or celtic would tempt him, someone with finance and pulling power for top players.

Again, dodging the point to fit your own agenda.

sirblues point is that villa are in debt over player and squad investment, turning villa into a bottom half table club to top 4 challengers, backing his manager to the hilt till he threw his dummy out when he was reigned in.

We are in debt for not investing in players or backing the manager.

But yeah, let's point and laugh at lerners mess for trying to show ambitions

Mr Damon I know your type, the one who thinks he knows every little detail of every little thing and refuses to accept another persons point of view. Due to another person having a different point of view you feel you have to continually repeat your point usually aided by capital letters or bold text in the hope that it will make people listen more. Thank you for your warm welcome though, just because we have a different opinion doesn't mean you can speak down on us. The whole point of a discussion is for people have different point of views.

Anyways... There may be some good news for you lot tomorrow, it appears Lerner wants his number one target from last summer Mark Hughes again and co-incendentally his contract ends tomorrow. He would probably have been our manager last season had he not took the Fulham job a week before O'Neill walked out on us.

If this is the case I wish you and Moyes all the best this season and hopefully we both have a good battle trying to get back into Europe (y)
