Thank you little curly. Pity us having to share a city with them. They believe they are a big big club. No where near evertons bracket. They get relegated too often. Not as much as us though!

They're as big as us, mate. Similar stadium, similar honours, rich history, prem ever-presents and previous top 4 chasers.

We have the edge at the moment, and have done for the best part of a decade, but Villa are as big a club as us. That's also why Moyes wouldn't leave us for them.

I appreciate your compliments but Liverpool fans would have similarly nice things to say about Villa in this scenario.

Sincerely, a proud but realistic toffee.

Mcleish is a good man but plays way too defenseive football. I dont think hell go there anyway.

Im sorry my man but your wrong. I am not arse kissing here either. Everton are much bigger club and you would be hard pushed to find another english football fan who disagrees. I like your humility though.

I wonder if Davey sittin in his hotel room, laptop on, bottle of chang in hand, (cus he blue to the core), and laughin his c*ck off readin this thread :P

For the record I do think we're the bigger club, but the difference is marginal, subjective, relative, up for interpretation and ultimately not as clear cut as we'd like to believe.

Everton are a big club. So are they. End of.

In this context though, all things considered, it would be a backwards step and a sideways move at best for Moyes. Hence it being utter bollocks. As LCAB, THT and everyone has been saying for yonks.

Can't believe we're even discussing this. We may sign Demba Ba, we may not. We may sign Charles N'Zogbia, we may not. we may be taken over, we may not. Nothing is 100% certain in life, but that Moyes will be the Everton manager next season has a certainty percentage of at least 99% for me.

from 5's into 6/4 in 2hrs. a fair wedge gone on it on merseyside.

11/10 joint favourite now. before i get hammered, i know how the market works but all the movement has been on your side.
personally, i'd love moyes to come to villa but my gut feeling is he'll stay put. but, i'm a pessimist.

The lad might look like a gang mate, but he's actually a lady. I can smell his cardigan.

I know this is speaking to a brick wall, and I don't mean personally against you mate, I mean the Villa fan base in general, but I'll try anyway.

This is the crux of it...

David Moyes is NOT leaving Everton for Aston Villa.

That's the be all, end all of it.

Should have posted exactly this myself. Needs to be cut and pasted onto every other EFC forum this. Might a) solve a lot of the willy waving about club size and b ) settle some nervous souls as well.

Lol, a Birmingham fan coming onto an Everton fan forum to talk about Aston Villa. Seen it all now.

Pleasantries aside, I've been on here before, maybe a year ago and had a decent conversation with a few of you Everton fans about an upcoming game. I've never had a bad word to say about Everton, fans or club and would like to think we're very similar in terms of history, heritage and ethics.

Yes some of our fans are going OTT on the whole Moyes to Villa movement that seems to be flooding Twitter and gathering pace in some factions of the media, but you can't blame them, he's a fantastic coach and highly sort after. I must admit I would quite like him to be at VP but the reality of it seems very very hard to comprehend. We're at the same kind of level, have the same kind of funds, have the same kind of aspirations and very much the same agendas. We all know about each other's success' and what we've won but is their any need for the ill feeling from many of you?

Every club has idiots, don't paint us all with the same brush.

That's because a lot of villa supporters are Wasting their no doubt hard earned money betting on Moyes . to bad they can't see the writing on the wall and all this Moyes talk is only twitter nonsense written by wind ups who's no doubt having a laugh right now.
I respect Villa as a club and i hope they find a good manager but RL should have taken care of this situation weeks ago . it's not like it was a shocking development that Houllier had to quit .
