Whether they are good enough or not they are a part of the squad/team and the manager would not be doing his job properly if they weren't going onto the pitch with confidence.
Would be much more upsetting if he said we have to accept our goalie isn't good enough but we have to play him cos our others are even worse

It's a personal thing.

I get too attached if they are any good (Landon, Fernamdes) and then they [Poor language removed].

Agree in the usefulness. Especially our young ones out.

I know what your saying here but you also left out the third option where the player looks decent and we sign him (pienaar twice and arteta). Also to be honest I will be happy to bring someone in for 4 months if he swings the balance in getting us 4th, even if we lose him in the summer
