Please please not phil Neville ive just renewed my season ticket and my kids because Neville was retiring now he could be manager me thinks I shouldn't of renewed that ****ing early bird

IMO Neville needs to get out into the championship for a couple of seasons before he thinks about taking a job like Everton. If he goes off and does well he won't be short of future offers at big clubs inc Everton a few years down the line.

You can affectively ruin your career before its even begun by taking on a job as big as this too soon. (Roy Keane)

I imagine our board have been talking to internal candidates, but I do think its perhaps more out of respect and to give these guys whithin the hope that there is a chance to further there career's to manager. (At some point).

All the talk from BK tho is about carrying on moyes work, and the traditions of the club ect...does all that fit into a vitor P appointment?? I'm not sure....

Who knows?? Where he's gonna go with this but I recon by latest next Monday we will have a new manager in place.

Ha ha the Everton way will be to drag the process to a couple of days before the transfer window so BK doesn't have to spend anything LMFAO

Last weekend, Martinez said he would make a quick decision on his future at Wigan. Having been linked with Liverpool last summer, he could now end up on the blue half of Merseyside, having seen his stock rise following the FA Cup win over Manchester City.

Outspoken Wigan chairman Dave Whelan has already said Everton are not a big enough club for a manager of Martinez’s calibre.

And there is more than a suggestion that the Spaniard could be holding out for an offer from another club with a larger budget.

Honestly think we could do much worse than having Neville as manager. He has worked with the best, under the best. Only issue is the fact that he hasn't done managing before.

Mate are you deluded? He has played with the best does that make him the best player? He has said this club finishing in the top 10 is achieving are goal, he has zero experience. Show SOME AMBITION.

Stoke.....he could break his leg at the press conference and carry on the 'Dave' I broke my leg' Whelan' work elsewhere.....it all makes perfect sense

Is it just me or does this smack of Shearer to Newcastle a couple of years ago?

A respected figure with no managerial experience, not neccessarily the best coach available or the most popular opinion but above all - the cheap option.

Despite not being completely enamoured with the idea of either of them, I would be less concerned if we got Di Matteo / Hughes in, as opposed to Neville who will offer continuity, no real change to the playing style, he won't shake up the dressing room.

In that respect its a safe decision, one which offers stability. But i doubt it will fill any fan with real confidence going into the new season.

"The Derry man is highly regarded for his ability to deliver on tight budgets, which impresses Everton chairman Bill Wainwright given the Toffees’ funding constraints."

FFS Wainwright.

I quite like the idea of Neville as Manager with Big Dunc as assistant Manager and Round as 1st Team Coach, hopefully there will be a kitty for Neville as a proven goalscorer is much needed. Martinez & Neville would be another option, not sure about the Porto Manager, but as there has been no announcement yet, Martinez looks more likely.
