I don't know, and neither does anybody else.

But if you honestly believe Kenwright is likely to hire a coach from the Portugese league as a replacement for Moyes who pretty much ran the entire footballing aspect of Everton for 11 years i'd say calling it hopeful is being kind.

There aren’t that many managers around that look after the whole club from top to bottom. I don’t think Moyes did this as much as he gets credit for either.

If Kenwright goes for Vitor then I’d imagine he’ll put a failsafe in place, by putting Irvine/Neville/Weir/Stubbs in charge of the Academy and one of them being a number 2, or head coach. Vitor will likely be allowed 1 or 2 staff to bring with him. The infrastructure is already in place, the new manager doesn’t need to change everything, he just needs to use it to work on making the 1st team better. Maybe integrate a few new ideas with the existing staff.

I still think it’s between Martinez and Neville personally. I don’t know much about Vitor and my Portuguese friends didn’t seem to rate him all that highly - either as per the quotes I posted somewhere in this thread. But at least he’d offer us something a bit different, and has experience in winning things. Is it wrong of me to still hold out for Laudrup?

If I had no links to Everton, for more money, more of a challenge and more global exposure, with the chance of going on to manage one of the biggest clubs in the world If I was successful here (Moyes to Utd).

In a heartbeat.
