Some questions that irk me:

If appointing an internal candidate was the way we were going, wouldn't we have done it by now?
If we were appointing Martinez, wouldn't we have approached Wigan by now?
If Vitor Pereira signed a pre-contract agreement with us two months ago, was this an insurance policy in case Moyes left, which the club must have felt possible at the time?
If this is the case, did Moyes know about this?
If Pereira was already waiting in the wings, why did Kenwright make a point of saying 'our search for a new manager begins now'?

For all our sakes, I sincerely hope they announce it soon; whoever it is. There has to come a point when this kindve ongoing message board discussion could legitimately be diagnosed as collective clinical depression. And that point was almost certainly about 6000 posts ago.

...I'm including myself in that too, btw.

Because he is a crafty impresario.

I've noticed the club seem to be hammering the season ticket open day on Saturday. Now, I don't think most people would want to buy their first season ticket not knowing who will be in charge, which leads me to think the new boss will be in by the weekend. V IS FOR VICTOR(Y)!!!

I wonder what'll be first: this topic reaching 1000 pages, or the new manager signing
