I think the decision may be down to Pereira - if he decides to stick it out at Porto (which might not be a smart move given he won't get the chance to manage at the top of the PL too soon elsewhere, and he's probably fully aware of the attitude towards him before they turned it around at the end) - we should look to that level - not Martinez - not internally..

That has to be the laziest article ever.
All it basically does is list all the people in the betting. No news in it whatsoever.
Why on earth doesn't someone do a bit of bloody JOURNALISM and investigate whether or not Pereira did indeed sign a pre-contract agreement with Everton earlier this year, as reported in the Portugese media?
Some journalists in this country are so myopic; they only put any effort in when it's something to do with Man Utd.

Out of the 8 candidates, my list goes like this:
1. Pereira
2. Laudrup
3. Martinez
4. Di Matteo
5. Neville
6. Stubbs
7. Mackay
8. Weir
Personally I reckon BK's preference is Martinez. Laudrup is a no-go I reckon and Di Matteo seems an outside bet. I'd actually prefer Neville or Stubbs over Mackay just because I think he'd be such an underwhelming appointment.
If Martinez stays at Wigan I'll be so angry if we don't pursue Pereira. To turn to an internal appointment in that scenario would be an absolute cop-out.
