Bill saying at the outset that he'd take fans views into account has created either a problem for him or the ideal platform to appoint the fans favourite & therefore abdicate some of the blame if it went pear shaped.

So will he go against the obvious fanbase feedback & appoint from within or give it to Pereira?

I imagine he will have the media staff working full time on the local and national press to shape the story... it was the only choice, echo asks everyone to get behind the manager, chuck in a few manager interviews, the hint of a few new signings and then off on holiday till the transfer window opens.

Jon done, fans focus on the transfer window...the fly in the ointment could be the new fixture list...we get a tough start then it,s back to the echo to reassure everyone.

Porto's record - underrated in Portugal, done wonderful job, not charismatic like AVB..

Doesnt need to be charismatic to be successful. The man is a proven winner. Talks a good game (read the Echo article on him), and obviously plays a good game!.

He's of the mould of Mourinho and AVB. He's never played the game to a great standard so took up coaching at a young age. Was never any good as a footballer so became a student of the game and learnt tactics and methods over a period of years and that philosophy didnt hurt Mourinho or AVB did it.

He'd be worth taking a risk on IMO. His record at Porto, regardless of his failings in Europe, speaks for itself!. Really think he could be the kind of appointment that would really make a difference to us within our league and across Europe.

And by the sounds of it, he'd be ideal for Kenwright in a sense that he's not adverse to letting a big name player go IF needed to bring the readies in, he's done it at Porto ever since being in charge, Falcao, Hulk, Alvaro Pereira to name a few. He wouldnt be a problem to Kenwright and the board from what i gather which would suit them to the ground!.

Plus he probably lost the dressing room a bit after benching an unfit Rodrigues in the first half (who later admitted he'd let him down by saying he was fit).

....and ....he fkn hates the redsh!te

Fair enough I'm just saying why let a manager ie martinez rip a stable team apart to buy ****e Wigan players and pass the ball around the back for most of the game get beat 4 nil at home to Southampton and say we played some good football when you can build on the foundations left by the previous manager

How do you know thata new manager would buy s+++e players,
Yes build on the foundations by all means, but the new manager as got to be his own man

Moyes II PLUS Trophies on his CV.. plus attacking football. F-me - where's Bill's phone number?

We might have hit the jackpot here.

nothing about replacement like but Why do we fans sing Bobby Latchford walks on water?
Been thinking about this all day to be honest. I'm too young aren't I :)

oh FFS, talksh!te now saying that Everton are waiting on Martinez' decision before we look to internal appoinment

why don't talksh!te just fupp off ? just fupp off you fupping baxters !

That's not an answer to the question & why does there have to be an ulterior motive in hiring the new manager?
