Andy Hunter of Guardian who is close to Everton and very much spot on in what he says about us: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/may/22/roberto-martinez-wigan-dave-whelan

Everton are taking their time over a replacement for Moyes, and have denied reports in Portugal that Porto's coach, Vitor Pereira, has agreed a two-year deal at Goodison Park.

Doesnt mean were not interested in him though does it, all that says is we havent offered him a 2 year deal like reports in Portugal suggest. The club as admitted to SSN who the candidates were interested in are and Pereira's name is there!.

So we'll just have to all wait and see wont we?!!.

I'm sure it's been mentioned many times before but this;

"Everton would not have to pay any compensation for Pereira as his contract expires at the end of June"

...is massive. A freebie, Bill! A FREEBIE!!!

Too many people have got too excited about vitor for it to actually come true. Even if both parties were agreed on the deal there would be work permit issues or a problem with his medical.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that Martinez is gonna go to Malaga, vitor will be odds on to join us and something will scupper the contract paving the way for a panic appointment of pulis with Neville as assistant. I really hope I'm wrong I wanna see the white horse on goodison road in reality.

there'd be some sort of analogical angular object that would cause the deal to figuratively trip and fall over wouldn't there ?

a stumbling block if you will

from what I can make out from the mess that is this thread he'll be meeting Porto bosses to tell them his plans. funny that bobby will be doing this tomorrow with the broken legged one. I reckon we get bob and vitor in a celebrity death match, winner takes all (including Stubbs' wife).
In a pool of eels?
