If we appoint Vitor, he usually tends to go for a wide 4-5-1.

"Thing is, Pereira plays 4-3-3 and it is essentially that in an attacking sense. He doesnt play 3 out and out strikers, he plays the one forward and 2 wide players. But when not in possesion of the ball, those wide players slot back into midfield and really make it a 4-5-1 formation.

His tactics arent too dissimilar to what managers deploy in the premier league and across Europe these days."

That was posted a few pages ago and I have seen a lot of Porto fans moaning because he only plays 433.

If Vitor was to come and his preferred formation is a 433 then I would like to see Pienaar given a left central mid position like pictured below.

--------------????------------------

---Coleman-Jagielka-Distin-Baines---

--------Barkley-Gibson-Felli/Pienaar----

---???-----????------Mirallas--

I don't see why 4-3-3 would be horrible for Barkley. I think he could be a great b2b midfielder. As could felli if he stays. I dot particularly like felli in te hole where he has been this year, but I dunno if he is disciplined enough to play the lone holder.

But he's probably getting sold. Which means I just look like an idiot. Ha. That being said, I think Pienaar could've more inside as his career goes on. I don't think he has enough pace to be an out and out winger. Just my opinion.

Pereira stuff suits both our clowns and Pereira himself: Kenwright and Elstone look proactive in seeking a big name; Pereira and his agent get a boost in negotiating a better deal with Porto if they can get them to swallow he'd leave for a big pay day elsewhere. Job done. Now the clowns can just wait for Martinez to either stay at Wigan or frig off to Malaga/Stoke/elsewhere and the *exhaustive* process will be at an end and they can trundle the best manager Falkirk never got: Davie'Waterboy'Weir as the continuity manager for the next stage of the *successful* Everton project. Nothing more certain. They treat Evertonians like imbeciles, and, to be fair, we do our best to live up to it.

Looking proactive? Your kidding. If there's anything actually happening I haven't noticed.
