Absolutely, he tried to whore himself out to German football first. When they didn't want him, I think that's when he started to prep for next season.

I'll always be grateful for the stability he brought to us, and for pushing us forward. But the way he'd always roll over for the RS, Phil Nevills quote where Moyes told him he was prepping for the United job, the way he's said we'll never be as good as we once were, and the way he's acted in the last twelve months, those things I'll remember and not with rosy coloured glasses that's for sure.

Sadly I think that's true, but I'm still in shock bungling Bill didn't sign Mark Hughes as soon as he expressed an interest in the job! So there's hope yet!
