It's a fair point. Tactics-wise I think he's got some good variety. I mean he can switch it up with a "preppy" look:

Do the suit with no tie:

Certainly open to a chunky scarf or two:

... and can do the heavier winter coats no problem:

Pretty well rounded. Even a few trackies in the mix so he'd fit in well. Not sure what else you'd need to know really.

Also ... this is GoT ... we swoon.

Alas, an in-depth critical analysis of the man's most valuable features as a manager. Cheers mate, this should convert some Pereira non-believers.

The majority of Evertonians aren't on football forums pressing F5 every minute. Most have never heard of Vitor Pereira.

True, but he was strong favourite 2 days ago, although I suppose it could have been the designated bookies bandwagon bet of the day, a la Klinsmann, Redknapp etc.

Apologies if i'm repeating anything that has already been said.

Vitor Pereira's agent is Christophe Henrotay. Henrotay is also the agent for Kevin Mirralas and as a result already has a working relationship with both the club and Kenwright. He is also the agent for Romelu Lukaku and Vadis Odjidja Ofoe which probably explains our interest in him last summer. It also adds credence to the thread started by the lad who bumped into him on the eurostar..."Rui Costa Lookalike"

So from that perspective I think there's no reason to doubt Pereira and Everton have had discussions regarding the role but to what degree is unclear.

He's just come out in the press and confirmed the comments made by Pinto da Costa in yesterdays interview to RTP.

He basically said that Pereira will not be making any decisions until early next week. He has still not decided where his future lies and will be thinking things over before taking to Porto management again next week to get everything worked out. He went on to say that he was grateful to Porto for giving Pereira time to think about his decsion and that discussions would be on going.

There was no mention of Everton or what discussion were being had between him and Porto but one can assume it's about agreeing on Pereira staying.

So make what you will of that. Looks like we won't be getting a decision this weekend..

I had a look on the bluekipper fan forum last night for the first time and apart from being the only person viewing it at the time I couldn't find any mention of Vitor. Though to be honest I didn't stay on it very long!

Question for all.

What is this #27thMay I keep seeing on here? Where did it start?

That's monday, Martinez' ultimatum and apparently Pereira's as well... But I don't expect news until Wedsneyday actually.

By the way, just asked Alan Myers (SSN) if there's any more news: "strangely quiet!" :(

Then I find it strange that Pereira isn't a short favourite given lots of us on here must have had a plunge? We think he's got a choice between us and staying at Porto and he is reported as wanting to come to England and having been in London for a meeting earlier in the week. Even if these assumptions are wrong it doesn't change the fact that we think they're correct and so surely plenty of cash should have been bet on him.

To be honest, how do you know he's been in London for a meeting this week?
