It's a fair point. Tactics-wise I think he's got some good variety. I mean he can switch it up with a "preppy" look:

Do the suit with no tie:

He even has the Neville point down?

SIGN HIM BILL!

That's monday, Martinez' ultimatum and apparently Pereira's as well... But I don't expect news until Wedsneyday actually.

By the way, just asked Alan Myers (SSN) if there's any more news: "strangely quiet!" :(

Awesome, cheers mate. Hopefully the day Whelan get's his wish then!

Quiet could be good and hopefully could indicate that we're waiting for Pereira to sort his affairs and sign up next week.

As always... It's on.

I'm basically wearing the Pereira "preppy look" from this his Summer 2012 preppy range, right now. This makes me love him even more and really makes me to want to buy an arm band

Pereira IN.

Apologies if i'm repeating anything that has already been said.

Vitor Pereira's agent is Christophe Henrotay. Henrotay is also the agent for Kevin Mirralas and as a result already has a working relationship with both the club and Kenwright. He is also the agent for Romelu Lukaku and Vadis Odjidja Ofoe which probably explains our interest in him last summer. It also adds credence to the thread started by the lad who bumped into him on the eurostar..."Rui Costa Lookalike"

So from that perspective I think there's no reason to doubt Pereira and Everton have had discussions regarding the role but to what degree is unclear.

He's just come out in the press and confirmed the comments made by Pinto da Costa in yesterdays interview to RTP.

He basically said that Pereira will not be making any decisions until early next week. He has still not decided where his future lies and will be thinking things over before taking to Porto management again next week to get everything worked out. He went on to say that he was grateful to Porto for giving Pereira time to think about his decsion and that discussions would be on going.

There was no mention of Everton or what discussion were being had between him and Porto but one can assume it's about agreeing on Pereira staying.

So make what you will of that. Looks like we won't be getting a decision this weekend..

Interesting info mate. Cheers

It's when the ghosts of Everton's past, present and future are going to haunt Kenwright in his sleep and make him see the error of his ways.

And so Scrooge Bill ran into the streets proclaiming "I used to be in the boys pen everyone" "24/7" and other such comical proclamations. He ran straight to tiny Tim's house as fast as his tubby legs could carry him and on arrival thanked him for his many years service and great representation of our club and asked "who shall I appoint"?

Tiny Tim answered quick as a flash proclaiming "Scrooge Bill! You must listen to the fans!".

And just like that, he appointed Pereira the very next day and as he rode in on a great white stallion bare chested, the fans rejoiced and wept tears of joy in the streets.

And we all lived happily ever after, playing damn sexy football with stepovers and the "hot lazer" formation.

The end.

Anyway, a quick summary of what I think happened/will happen:

- Bill was charmed (as is 80% on GOT-forums right now) by Pereira, and invited him this year to Goodison. Pereira wants a job in England so he can follow AVB and Mourinho, who did the same thing. Pereira is our number 1 target.

- Martinez is also on Bill's list, but only as a number 2 target.

- Bill interviewed both, and also Neville, Stubbs and Weir. Last 3 names only to know what they'd do in the future, leave with DM or stay with a new boss.

- Pereira asked time to think our offer over, and got until Monday. Martinez has been told to wait for VP's decision, and -strangely- does so.

---> If Pereira says yes, we sign him up. If he says no, we sign Martinez up.

You've convinced me mate.
