I think yes, I also think the poster who says he dips his ball bag in Brut 45 is probably reasonably accurate.

Absolutely! I'd like to think a manager's tactics are reflected in his bedroom activities. This is purely hypothetical, of course, but I reckon Moyes only did it with his Mrs in the missionary position, whereas Vitor can go any which way but loose with his Mrs!

Todays Highlights on the new manager saga for those who don't want to read through the thread

Hughes is Stokes main target(thank god).
Vitors wife is well worth a wallop
Weir turned the Job down
Tuesday is the new DD
Neville is going to Man U as a coach driver
Laudrup is still on Bills Radar
Daves broken leg is on the mend
Benitez is going to Napoli
Mr Green is pushing Mr Blue to go for Mr Twitchy Face
Round ,Lumsden and Woods are all going to Man Utd

you forgot to tell them that Dave Whelan broke his leg in the cup final

I don't think people on here who like Pereira have been 'charmed', as if they've been conned/brainwashed.

I think they just highly rate the fact he's won 2 consecutive league titles and lost 1 game in 2 seasons.

As opposed to never finishing higher than 15th, just been relegated, and admittedly winning the FA Cup but also only playing 2 decent teams along the way to winning it.

Vitor Pereira, Vitor Pereira!

La laa la laaa laaa, laa laa la laaa laaaa.

To the tune of this:

Good point. At least I know what love feels like now.

Make it so, Bill.

I've been singing this song for the last 10 minutes now. Make it known to every Evertonian once he signs, please.

There's more to Pereira than that, I think. Heard some good things about him before.

But still, if you put it like this: who wouldn't fancy a trainer with 2 consecutive league titles over a manager that just got relegated and has been struggling for a few years now?

Just out of curiosity, why isn't Lennon more popular? I watched maybe 2 Celtic matches since he's the coach there, but apparently he's being doing a fine job, no? What am I missing? Ditto for Bilic, Croatia played very good football under him, even though his record at Lokomotiv seems pretty mediocre.

How I'd rate those guys on the poll (to coach a Premier side):
Laudrup
Pereira
Lenon
Bilic
Martinez

Cheers Greek Fisherman

Anyway, a quick summary of what I think happened/will happen:

- Bill was charmed (as is 80% on GOT-forums right now) by Pereira, and invited him this year to Goodison. Pereira wants a job in England so he can follow AVB and Mourinho, who did the same thing. Pereira is our number 1 target.

- Martinez is also on Bill's list, but only as a number 2 target.

- Bill interviewed both, and also Neville, Stubbs and Weir. Last 3 names only to know what they'd do in the future, leave with DM or stay with a new boss.

- Pereira asked time to think our offer over, and got until Monday. Martinez has been told to wait for VP's decision, and -strangely- does so.

---> If Pereira says yes, we sign him up. If he says no, we sign Martinez up.

And this surely is whats going on, plus VP has reportedly still not signed a contract despite having had meetings and had his best players sold today. Good lord could the dream be on? I refuse to believe Bill & the board could oversee, what I would see, as an incredibly successful recruitment process.
It would be much more 'everton' of us to firstly balls the deal for VP up, then offend martinez by pi$sing him about whilst we wait for the non-arrival of VP. Then appoint Alan Irvine.

Cmon Vitor, you know it makes sense.

I would conclude that's bob on...

You know what guys? After a week of excitement at a possible uder the radar foreign superstar to be manager.... I am really proud that my club has people like weir, Stubbs, ferguson, Neville who having played here want to manage us... People outside the club won't care but I care. These guys are Everton. These guys not be our glorious trophy winning past, but these are guys who would walk in front of a bus for Everton. I really hope people like this are still part out my club this time next year.
