I actually like Lennon, after reading his book he seems like an alright fella' to be honest. Just don't want his as our manager.

If we get Martinez I hope our fans back him and support him.
Why wouldn't I back him? For all we know he could prove to be the best choice in the end. Anyone we get in, whatever track record they can present, will be a risk. It' s not a certainty that someone like Pereira will do better than Martinez. Problem is we can 't really afford to get it wrong. I feel with the financial restrictions we face, we get one chance and one chance only to build on the foundations laid on by Moyes.

The season Lennon had a challenge on his hands, his team choked. I consider Lennon on par with Stubbs and Neville, rock bottom of my list of potential managers.

I'm not high on the idea of Martinez, I doubt his ability to scout a good defender or have any kind of solidarity at the back. That said, he would be something different and is preferable to the vast majority of other realistic candidates we've heard mentioned.

Lennon is a terrible person.

Serious question - why do you say he's a terrible person?

He's had to put up with all manner of sectarian sh*t from Rangers fans up to and including death threats. Rather than castigate him I admire the way he's handled it all.

Bill Kenwright could of managed Celtic to that league this year.

Yes but Lennon still had to do the job. Also he won the league last year against Rangers.

His record at Celtic is very good in my opinion.

First year took over around Easter as caretaker and won all his remaining games
First full season 10/11 - finished a point behind Rangers
Second season 11/12 - ran away with the league including Rangers
Third season 12/13 - wins at a canter without Rangers

And gets them through a Champs League group beating Barcelona along the way.

Obviously everyone has different opinions on him as a person but his record as a manager is good and beyond that of almost all the candidates being considered currently.
