Heard that Man U /Evertom manager as gone on his hols, will it hinder an appointment with him
Not being available for interviews like.

I'm sorry, I will say it once, and will say it again, relegation man is not good enough for Everton.

This is a good point but, I feel he'd do better with a better squad ie. what we have. He did much of the work that got Swansea up and won the FA cup with Wigan. Ok, he did also achieve relegation which for us is simply not acceptable however I feel Martinez is a much more preferable option that Neil 'imtakingaweekoffandprotestinginthecentrecircleiftheyappointhim' Lennon or Mark 'carcrashofamanager' Hughes.

Agree with this, if we sell Felli and Rowbertow spent the cash on Macarthy and Mcmanaman and persuaded bill to cough up for a Top striker, Spanish maybe like Negredo then we would be looking pretty decent for next year. That's my back up being positive position, Vitor's the man!

Are you serious????

Lose a player of Fellaini's quality and replace with 2 Wigan average players that combined would eat up most of fellaini's money??

That is exactly one of the reasons I DON'T want Martinez!!

McCarthy is already a very good player and is going to get even better.I would be very happy to see him at Everton.

Regarding the appointment of a manager.
The decision is not based solely on what that manager has won or acheived. There are so many other factors otherwise what qualification did David Moyes have to be appointed as Utd manager.

I am very undecided about Martinez ,he struggled in the league with Wigan ending with relegation. However, he continously had to deal with his best players being sold which would make life very difficult. The cup win showed that he can be a clever tactician and when you consider that the entire team cost 8m ,which is slightly more than half the cost of Fellaini alone.

I am just as concerned by Pereira, his appointment is an even bigger risk than Martinez,if he were appointed I would really like to see him surrounded by Stubbs/Neville/Weir etc.

Correct about Martinez IMO, Don't get me wrong, not agreeing in the sense that he's a world beater, he wouldn't be first choice for the job i my eyes, but if he came I'd back him and wouldn't be too disappointed, would give him a chance to see what he could do with better quality players and not having to sell the big stars each year and see very little of the money.

Mccarthy and Mcmanaman are not 'average', both have a lot of potential under the correct management. Im happy for Fellaini to go, just a slong as we can get a good technical midfielder in to replace him, wouldn't complain with Mccarthy, he will only get better and better.

To those people who use the quarter final defeat by Wigan as some kind of reason to appoint Martinez, let me remind them of this: a few months before we appointed Mike Walker, his Norwich team beat Everton 5 - 1 at GP. Please God let's not make the same mistake twice.

Look at Martinez' overall record at Wigan; I think it's something like 25 wins in four years. Wigan lost 9 - 1 against Spurs a couple of years ago, and I seem to recall they've had several other heavy defeats.

How can you know this ?.. Seriously...how? It's sh1t like this that should be getting bans...... You have absolutely no idea what is going on or who thinks what or wether bill prefers brown or black shoes....nits all made up in yor own head....grow a backbone ffs

They are international who are chasing top 6 every season. What is the calibre of Martinez? Struggling in the league, fighting relegation season after season and finally takes his team down now. If you are naive enough to think Martinez had the record and ability to take the club forward AND convince the players he is the real deal then so be it.

And stop being a nob and ask the mods to ban people, this is a forum not the high court for Christ sake.

Again this more speculation on your behalf......and if you're gonna call me a knob at least learn to spell properly .

You are indeed correct, neither player is average, they are both turbo utter gash.

Moyes got a team who'd qualified for the CL to lose 7-0 to Arsenal a few years ago.
I don't think people are judging Martinez on the cup match at GP. They're looking at the way that he's kept a gash team, assembled for buttons, in the prem for longer than most would expect. And he's managed to win a trophy with aforementioned gash team this season despite succumbing to the inevitable in the league
