It will depend on the rest of their respective careers. Currently, when people look at statistics, Martinez is ahead. Historically, 'keeping a team in the top six' counts for zilch. Winning trophies is what counts. having your name on the list of winners. As you drive into Wigan, theres already a sign saying 'FA Cup Winners 2013'. I don't see a sign on the way into Walton saying 'in the top six in the Premiership'. Or even 'bottled the big ones'.

Thats the point I am trying to make. Martinez is more successful than Moyes. Not saying he is a better manager just currently more successful.

We will see.

Martinez just won't (what I think anyway) manages those top clubs. Moyes has earned it via his Everton records.

This would also mean that Joe Royle who so nearly took us down, was also a better manager than Moyes when he clearly wasn't
