We have Stubbs & Weir to guide him over defensive issues lets see if he comes to us first complaining about him on SSN is not the correct way before the deal is done - I know man U fans who are not happy with the DM appointment they wanted a foreign coach, he is the best out there that we can afford at the moment - he lives close by he should settle in well & Barkley may get a game!!!!

Also, it'll be very hard for Martinez to turn Englands best defender into pure ****e overnight hahaha!
We'll be perfectly fine i reckon.

I'm not surprised you want to leave it there.

What do you want to discuss? Go on.

Swansea? 4-4-3? What was the point? It was 4 seasons ago and 8/9 times out of 10 he played 3 CBs at the back at Wigan.

It does not matter whether it was 3-4-3, 3-5-1-1 or 3-4-1-2. The fact is Wigan was leaking about 2/3 goals every match and 3CBs played a big part.

If Martinez were to bring his '3-4-3' formation here, it'd probably look like this:

What is wrong with that? Is it a suicidal formation? No. Looks perfectly reasonable.

Heitinga is in the middle of it.

Nothing has been decided yet, lets put all ifs and buts aside and stop getting into a panic over something that hasn't happened.

We are not Wigan nor do we resemble anything about them. We have a strong defence, one of the best, our midfield is good as well, we all know what our front line is like. We are twice the team Wigan are and we have a passionate team with solid mentalities and excellent fans. Martinez is ready for this if its to be him. He's not a two bob coach.

Lets say he was the worst manager in the league, he still couldn't make our team ****. If anything he will give Barkley a chance and there will be no favouritism.

Every Everton player now has to fight for their place.

He only turned to a 3 back last Feb. He's played 3 at the back the best part of a year and a bit.

He will play the formation that he feels best suits the players. 3-4-3 suited Wigan, 4-3-3 suited Swansea - who knows what formation will suit us? You have no idea and neither do I, so it's ridiculous to suggest that Martinez will stick to 3-4-3 just because he played it at Wigan.

That's it.
