have there been any cumbersome and cryptic translations of Portugese football websites that make even less sense once they've been translated on here today ?

I know, it's like trying to pick clues out of the meandering trail of puke of some pisshead who has washed down twenty pints with two tins of alphabety spaghetti.

Diamé is on something like £70-£75k, somewhat ridiculously.

At Newcastle, I don't know individual figures, but since they used to pay Owen 110k p/w and Viduka was on something similar (along with Barton being on 60k)... I'd be surprised if no one was up around the 70-75k mark

After a quick bit of research, Coloccini is on 70k, dunno about others.

Not saying he'll come back, but I think you'd see that change if he was playing for us.

Possibly, doesn't even get back to Crocky much now though. Think he has just gradually found a new life, and it doesn't revolve around football anymore. Fair play to him, just a shame his head was turned so young

Newcastle have been reducing their wage bill a lot in the last few years. And I'm not sure if that's true about diame. He was on about 30k when he signed for them and they were trying to get him to sign a new contract on higher wages to get rid of his release clause. He didn't sign it though so he's still available for 3.5 million.

Newcastle reduced their wage bill when they went down, but Coloccini is on 70k (as of last March) and they will have paid the likes of Sissoko a LOT in wages, as he was essentially an "early" Bosman signing.
