Martinez 8 to 1 one on now. that kind of price has always meant its done deal in the time I have been watching these kind of markets. the 3 to 1 on Martinez a week or so ago seems like a bargain in hindsight.

Hard to say for sure as we'v not seen who either club signs but I do think Chelsea will be very strong. Also think arsenal will be too. I think the top 4 (utd city chelsea arse) will be a cut above the rest next season. We will be battling it out with spurs and Liverpool, but struggle with new manager and not enough funds to strengthen enough.
Liverpool and Spurs could both be losing their best player, will add depth to decent squads, but with no kind of guarantee anyone can come up with the match winning exploits of the two players going, or that any 11 they put out will look as cohesive a team as our first 11. Arsenal don't look to me like a team who are definitely going to improve either, lots of very scrappy wins and very lucky pens last year. Keep everyone and our manager could just need to find a spark away from home and fourth is definitely more likely than last year. a good job to get I reckon if it is Martinez

Yeah see your point with spurs and L'pool if they loose bale and Suarez. Having said that if they do it would leave both with massive fees to spend on top of the probably generous amounts they already have. With those sales both clubs could potentially have between 50-100M available.

Arsenal will spend this summer. That stadium is as good as payed off...which is what they have been waiting for to loosen the purse strings. I think it will be really tough for us next season unfortunately.

always tough, but the kind of money they will have won't mean as much as it sounds because other clubs will know what they have to spend. a lot of genuine top class players may be reluctant to move with the world cup coming up and they will be competing with Monaco, Psg, real Madrid, who will double what they offer. Arsene will probably bring some decent young players in but they tend to take awhile to blend. the way the league looks at moment too we are good enough to take most pints off everyone below 7th so a handful of inspired performances against those around us and who knows. and getting the best out of Barkley could be as valuable as any 20-30 mill the others spend

Maybe people have turned us down to be manager as they know who will be sold from our squad?

our squad have shown more unity in the press so far, Heitinga apart, than the teams around us. all the speculation is coming from a Manchester/London media, Talk sh*t even seemed to be suggesting Baines knock during England game meant he was prob leaving. all sounds bit desperate to me and its been going on with Baines for few years now and look where he is

I hope your right. If we can keep most of our squad then whoever is manager has a good chance.

its all just guesswork, but we don't have to sell anyone who matters and no-one is demanding to leave apart from johnny, and you would hope any decent manager would have a good look at them all and decide if he could get better. I always like to try put blue tinted glasses away and ask where would I want to be, and a settled club with a good chance of first team football, playing decent style and a good atmosphere around the club, doesn't sound too bad when you are on life changing momey already

You know what I can't get over? David Moyes will be thoroughly and utterly in the public eye for the foreseeable future. We cna't avoid his name. I caught it once or twice watching England tonight and rewound, as I always do, out of habit expecting a little Everton-related tidbit but got some schtick about 'handling Rooney'. It was weird. A desolate feeling. I freely admit I'm like a lost lamb without Moyes, he is pretty much all I've known vis-a-vis Everton. When this thread finally closes - hopefully sooner rather than later this week - it will be the end of an era. The last chapter in what I feel has been an enjoyable era.

Nevertheless. Vivo Martinez!

Time mate, that's all it takes.

The older amongst us had the same thing with H first time round after he went off to Spain. More recently on the player font it felt like I was seeing my Mrs with another (better equipped) man every time I saw Rooney in a red shirt when he first went to United....

Once we get a manager on board we can look forward to the new season. Then, when we're in the thick of the new era the pain will start to heal - no matter how often you still see that strawberry blonde dome on the tele. Especially if his face is contorted with anger at the way his struggling side has just been battered at home by the blues.

definitely felt loads worse when Rooney left than when any manager has gone. seems stupid now but I couldn't even watch England for a long time. now looking back, all of that put to one side, I do think he went far too early and maybe even to the wrong club

Moyes will break the team soon when he comes in for Baines and Fellaini, Baines is the best left back and I will be surprised if he doesn't come in for Baines. How long does Baines have left on his contract?

I'm going for 1001651 views, I've done the math with reference to my current guess of May 31st, 1398 pages, 27960 replies

I have divided the current views by the current amount of posts and with that sum, multiplied it by 27960 to come up with the above view.

If I'm right, i own all your souls.

Looks like i was one working day out if the new man is unvieled today.

But i might be right on the pages and the amount of replies, for which i can select some of your souls for me to keep.
