Look mate, ive already said i know that the Portuguese league is obviously higher quality than the spl. The point i was trying to make is, is that if you were the porto manager or a fan, Benfica aside you would expect to win the VAST majority of your other games
Very true, but you could also say the same (or similar) about Man Utd, Barcelona and Bayern Munich. Would that disqualify their managers in your opinion.

There's nothing wrong with trying to expose the kopites on here. Some you get right, some you don't. It's part of the game
on footy forums.

It's not moronic, nor audacious to expose posters who, judging by the way they express their opinions seem to be taking the micky in a manner that's rawkish.

It is moronic. Calling Evertonians a Kopite, and alleging fans aren't genuine fans isn't "a game". Moderating this forum is down to the moderators, not you. If you think someone is a 'WUM' (Wind Up Merchant), then report it;

Attempting to get another user banned by posting things such as "abuse! ban him!" is totally unacceptable, and will not be tolerated on this forum. This is basically the internet equivalent of a footballer waving the imaginary yellow card at a referee, and is completely unhelpful. If you see a post that you believe is in violation of the forum's Rules and Guidelines or Terms of Service, it would be highly appreciated if you could use the "Report to Moderator" function to bring it to our attention.

"Report to Moderator" Function
This forum has a "Report to Moderator" function built into its software (located at the bottom-left corner of all posts). The purpose of this function is to aid moderators in their duties. As you can imagine, it's not easy (nor plausible) for a small team of people to read every last post in every last thread on the forum, so this is where we need your help. If you see a post that you believe is in violation of the forum's Rules and Guidelines or Terms of Service, it would be highly appreciated if you could use the "Report to Moderator" function to bring it to our attention.

Also please be aware that, whilst reportings are not anonymous to administrators, all details will be kept strictly confidential and will not leave the admin forum. You will not, under any circumstances, be name dropped on the open forum for reporting a post in a genuine manner.

... Now back on topic please.

its better than that...

The SPL have only ever had Rangers or Celtic get anywere in Europe

In Portugal Porto,Benefica, Spoting CP and Braga have all been in European Cup finals in recent history.

Also take into account the number of quality players that come out of that league and move on to Europe, no such thing happens in SPL.

The Portuguese league is miles ahead of the SPL.

The Portuguese league is stronger than the spl but with Rangers in it there wouldn't be too much of a difference, the EPL is way way ahead of both, in the last 30 years, Aberdeen have one a cwc and a super cup, Dundee utd have been in semis of European cup losing 3-2 on agg and a final of uefa cup, recently Celtic and Rangers have made the europa league final, there not as good as portugal but both are so far behind England, so why should we be appointing Periera when he comes from such a league, the same reason we won't appoint Lennon.

While rooting out the exciting stats about the Portuguese and Scottish leagues, did anyone remember to check to see if our new manager has been unveiled?

Perhaps we've missed it.

Martinez needs to massively improve every aspect of his managerial skills to take over here, i hope he knows this.

In the PL though it seems theres just a lot of harder games for example even villa/stoke away etc are hard games. I don't watch any Portuguese footy though.

How much of that has happened in the last 20 years though. 30 years ago, Scottish football was in a much healthier state than it is today. I would say the opposite is true of Portuguese football.
