It wont be a random foreign manager who doesnt know the English game. Itll be one of Round, Martinez, Solskjær, Poyet, Sheeds, Di Matteo, or, cant believe this hasnt been suggested, that young Danish manager at Swansea, Laudrup I think his name is.

Started managing Molde FK in 2011. Won the norwegian league in 2011. Then won it again in 2012.
I'd say that's pretty great.

And Molde had never won a title previous to that!. Pretty impressive going, even for the Norwegian league. Coached and managed the reserves under Fergie at United so will of learnt a fair bit from him.

Baffles me that people are advocating Martinez.

It seems the main issue about Moyes is he can't move us onto the next level. Martinez can't even move Wigan away from a relegation fight every year.

Roberto Martinez, Frank de Boer, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Huub Stevens, Laurent Blanc, Slaven Bilic, Gus Poyet and yes, Nigel Adkins!.

Take ya pick for me, all positive managers that try to play football the right way!.

With Moyesies current contract situation and being undecided i think it is having an effect on the team, and his substitution decisions of late in helping us to see off games as been none exsistant. Not sure if he seems arsed anymore?. As seemed very negative in his body language of late in pre and post match interviews!.

I think he'll go in the summer and we have to make sure we appoint a positive young manager with fresh, upto date ideas of how the game is going and someone who will give players a fresh chance, a clean slate and not have favourites and give youngsters a better chance!.

We will definitely lose Felli in the summer, maybe even Baines but im more hopefull of him staying, but if they both go then the new manager will get funds to buy his own men and put his own stamp on our side. We will still have good players at the club for the new man to work with and if he can put a new, fresh imputus towards the team and get us having ago and playing decent then i'll be happy!.

Im not expecting the new man to come in and make us world beaters, he'll probs struggle at first to match what Moyes as done due to finding his feet with the team and getting his ideas into place but if he can eventually match it and then try to better it but in a different way, a better way footballing wise, then im all for giving them the chance!.

Maybe change is what we all need come next season. Alot of Evertonians are scared of the thought of moyes going and i get that cos he's done very well at us considering, but he as taken us as far as he can and IMO, it's time for a new approach, new ideas and see how we get on.

thats true.

Well I'm clearly on my own with this, but not one mention for Gus Poyet surprises me.I'm amazed, he has Brighton & Hove Albion in the play offs for the championship, done it without having a barrel of money, his sides, from what I've seen of them play attractive football. He's going to get a big job soon and maybe we should get in there first.
I like the idea of a manager coming in who has learned the skills from the lower divisions and not big names who get jobs because off their playing career.

I am too pal and tbh i have mentioned him before i saw this post. Ive seen Brighton a few times over years since he's been boss and ive always been impressed. Gets them playing out from the back and on the grass, they work hard and close down and get at teams and of late, due to there lack of real goalscoring ability, he's made them hard to beat and break down and capabale of knicking 1 and 2 nil wins, so not only as he got them playing good, there hard to beat and can win ugly!.

But the majority of the time, they always play good football and have a go!. In both cup games versus Newcastle and Arsenal, they was very good in all they did, the football they played, defending, closing down. I'd just like to see everton get back to those ways, working hard, closing down, getting in peoples faces, having some urgency about them, playing in a faster tempo!.

I think the likes of Martinez or Poyet would bring this to us and they have both learnt there trades in the lower leagues and deserve there shots at a bigger club!. We did it with Moyes all them years ago, maybe it's time to give someone else that chance.

For all the fuming, its worth pointing out that if Jelavic was in anything like the form that he was last year we would probably be third now.

Moyes is staying.

A few years ago i would have been doing cartwheels with that statement, but now i simply have had enough of his tactics, the way he tells the players to defend a slender lead, his terrible use of substitutions and his stubborness to not play the youngsters and 11 years without silverware is simply not on.

It is kinda interesting that many want Martinez.
Why?
Cause he has same qualities that have made Moyes respected all over the place.

The thing with Martinez, he put Swansea on the way to where they are now, that was his doing!. And at Wigan, it's just unfortunate that he's at a club nobody as heard of or keen to join cos he does get them playing in the right manner. If he was more of a name like Laudrup then he'd be able to of signed the likes of Michu, de Guzman & Hernandez like Swansea could and then who knows where Wigan would be, they certainly wouldnt be in a relegation scrap IMO!.

Martinez as good connections in La Liga and no doubt would of liked to of brought some good players in from that league but nobody of any decent quality wants to play for Wigan!. At a club like Everton, he'd have more luck at bringing in the players of quality that he wants!.

It would be good in my eyes that he was Liverpool's 1st choice and he fcuked them off and then ended up coming to us and doing well!.

As aidey9 pointed out, the whole contract situation is most defiantly having a negative effect on the team. I just can't find any real reason for moyes to come out with his "I will see if we're good enough at the end of the season" statement?

Just what does it actually achevie? What does he actually want? More wages? Don't think so. More money for players ? How can the board give him money that clearly don't have. New job? Maybe. But the best thing for Everton would have been to keep quite, have a good season, shake hands and go. Moyes has been brilliant for us, just can't help feeling the recent negative publicity could and should have been avoided!

Change is inevitable and in sure there will be some world class managers interested in 60 grand a week playing in the worlds most popular league...
