Doesn't tell the whole story. Jewell could afford those transfers because he was paying wages that noone else in the premier league was.

The team that finished 10th and reached the league cup final, under Jewell was on only the 18th highest wages in the prem.

Martinez payes wages that are more than about four or five over teams, and funds that through the net transfer loss. Different tactics but the overall budget is, relative to others in the prem, if anything more for martinez.

We've been given a little slot on Paddy Power's latest billboard...

Difficult to read odds I think mate.

They've changed so much in one day it's too tough to use them as any guide.

Yeah I know mate, but I am clinging to any straw of hope I can to get away from Mark Hughes and Pereira would be my first choice - available for free and more like AVB than Moyes = yes please!

Im not a fan of stats as you know, but if you look at it from BK's point of view, Martinez ticks boxes dosent he ? It is stiil in comparison to some, working to tight margins.

I would take hughes over martinez anyday, martinez is well overated and that dave Whelan can suck my dogs balls the old prick.

Thing with Martinez is...we don't know what he would be like with a squad as good as Evertons. It's like Moyes to Ferguson, they have taken a risk.

Personally, I want an attacking manager, no to Hughes, O'Neill, Neville, Curbishley, Bruce etc...sign someone outside of the UK and take a risk

If United had won number 20 last year and SAF retired then as was the rumour, who would be our manager now?

We definitely wouldn't have had any Laudrup shouts. Redknapp was a free agent, but Lambert and Brent were flavour of the month.
